New National Resource For Ensuring Kids’ Eye and Vision Health

The Evidence-based Optometry team is proud to share our most recent American Optometric Assiciation Clinical Practice Guideline “Comprehensive Pediatric Eye and Vision Examination“.  Approved by the AOA Board of Trustees, and following an intensive Institute of Medicine (now the National Academies or NASEM) process, this guideline offers something for everyone:  evidence for doctors’ clinical decision making; recommendations related to developmental factors and preventing vision loss; and important actions that parents, health care providers, public health leaders, professionals, and other stakeholders can take to ensure children receive optimal care for a lifetime of good health.  I’m so pleased to be a part of this effort, and with your help we can spread the word that quality evidence in health care matters to us all, no matter what age!  Click here for more…
